IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.)
IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) is very important exam for those students who wants to join IIT for M.Sc. IIT-JAM Syllabus and Pattern is given below:
I. Exam Pattern:
⚫ Exam Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
⚫ Language: English only
Sections: 3 sections, each with different question types and marks distribution:
⚫ Section A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) - 10 of 1 mark each and 20 of 2 marks each (Total Marks: 50)
⚫ Section B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) - Each question carries 2 marks (Total Marks: 20)
⚫ Section C: 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions - 10 of 1 mark each and 10 of 2 marks each (Total Marks: 30)
Negative Marking: Only for Section A MCQs - 1/3 mark for 1-mark questions and 2/3 mark for 2-mark questions.
