International Baccalaureate (IB)
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a two-year educational program for students aged 16 to 19. It is offered in over 5,000 schools in 150 countries around the world. The DP is a challenging and rewarding program that is designed to prepare students for success in university and beyond.
The DP curriculum is divided into six subject groups:
⚫ Studies in language and literature
⚫ Language acquisition
⚫ Individuals and societies
⚫ Sciences
⚫ Mathematics
⚫ The arts
Students must take one subject from each group, and they can choose an additional subject from any of the groups. Students must also complete a core requirement, which includes a theory of knowledge course, an extended essay, and creativity, activity, service (CAS) project.
The DP assessment is based on a combination of internal assessment and external exams. Internal assessment is carried out by the teacher, while external exams are set and marked by the IB.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a five-year educational program for students aged 11 to 16. It is offered in over 1,600 schools in 110 countries around the world. The MYP is a challenging and engaging program that is designed to prepare students for the DP and for the challenges of the 21st century.
The MYP curriculum is divided into eight subject groups:

⚫ Language acquisition
⚫ Mathematics
⚫ Science
⚫ Arts
⚫ Physical education and health
⚫ Design
⚫ Technology
Students must take one subject from each group, and they can choose an additional subject from any of the groups. Students must also complete a personal project, which is an independent research project that allows students to explore a topic of their own interest.
The MYP assessment is based on a combination of internal assessment and external exams. Internal assessment is carried out by the teacher, while external exams are set and marked by the IB.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a seven-year educational program for students aged 3 to 12. It is offered in over 1,800 schools in 140 countries around the world. The PYP is a play-based, inquiry-based program that is designed to develop students' intellectual, social, and emotional skills.
The PYP curriculum is divided into six transdisciplinary themes:

⚫ Where we are in place and time
⚫ How we express ourselves
⚫ How the world works
⚫ How we organize ourselves
⚫ Sharing the planet
Students explore these themes through a variety of subjects, including language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, and physical education.
The PYP assessment is based on a combination of observation, documentation, and student-led conferences.
