Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam

The syllabus and pattern of the PMP Exam are the same worldwide, including America, so you don't need to worry about any regional differences. Here's a breakdown:

Syllabus:
The PMP Exam is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), which outlines the global standard for project management practices.

It covers 10 knowledge areas grouped into 5 process groups:
⚫ Initiating
⚫ Planning
⚫ Executing
⚫ Monitoring & Controlling
⚫ Closing

Each knowledge area focuses on a specific aspect of project management, such as scope, schedule, cost, risk, etc.

Exam Pattern:
⚫ The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (previously 200).
⚫ There are 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete the exam.
⚫ 25 of the questions are pre-tested and not scored, but you won't know which ones they are.
⚫ There is no negative marking, so it's best to attempt all questions.
⚫ The questions are situation-based, requiring you to apply your knowledge to real-world scenarios.
⚫ About 50% of the questions focus on predictive approaches, while the remaining 50% cover agile or hybrid approaches.
